After more than two decades of construction and repeated delays, the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization celebrated its grand inauguration on 1 November 2025, with local and international dignitaries attending a gala opening ceremony. Situated near the iconic Pyramids of Giza, GEM now welcomes the public with over 100,000 artifacts, including the full Tutankhamun collection and King Khufu’s solar boat, beautifully displayed in cutting‑edge exhibition spaces.
